About Wendy

I believe in Project Based Learning with Mathematics. Students need the opportunity to review, and revise within the domain of mathematics. Let’s face it, how many exams do we take outside of our academic career? Next to none. Outside of the classroom, the last exam I took was for my driver’s license when I was 16 years old. (We will not talk about how long ago that was.) Think about your career, and the careers of your family and friends. How often are exams required? No, CPR classes and TB tests do not count.

Employers are looking for results. To develop students who are prepared for success, outside of the classroom as well as within, we must teach them to tackle difficult projects with logic, review and revise those projects through collaboration with peers, and persevere in finding creative solutions. We need to provide a mathematics education that balances creative, innovative projects with the precision of examination. Let’s not throw out the baby with the bathwater. Keep what is good and replace what is sub-standard with Project Based Learning with Mathematics.

I have developed this website as a place for educators to share. Elementary, secondary, homeschool, whatever your area of focus, you are welcome here and I am anxious to hear from you. If you have a question or comment please leave it above or e-mail me at: wendy@projectbasedlearningwithmath.com. I will get back to you as soon as possible. I am a working teacher, so please be patient during school days and hours.

Thank you for your interest in Project Based Learning with Mathematics. Let’s work smarter rather than harder by working together to prepare our students for the success both within and without the classroom. Check out the free stuff page and help yourself.
